Electronic Instruments Basic electronic instruments found in a typical laboratory workbench. The DC power supply is used to provide current and voltage to electronic circuits. A function generator is used to produce electronic signals. If you want to observe and measure these electronic signals an oscilloscope is needed. The most useful tool of them all is the digital multimeter used for measuring voltage, current, and resistance.
